Pia Elizabeth Ray, age 50 years, passed away on April 30, 2022 in her home with family by her side.
Pia leaves behind her mother Maria, aunt Chimo and aunt Jokester (both of whom had a special place in her heart), as well as numerous other aunts, uncles and relatives.
She was predeceased by her father Roy (June 2021), grandparents John and Sophie Ray, Patrick Campbell, Mabel Diplock, step-grandfather Edward Diplock, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Pia lived life to the fullest, overcoming many obstacles along the way. Her happiest times were spending time with friends and staff at community living and enjoying cake and coffee with her friends at St. Mary’s. We will always remember her beautiful smile.
Services, following cremation, will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 10, 2022 in the Church of Annunciation of Blessed Virgin Mary, Nipigon, Ontario, with Mass to be celebrated by Rev. Henryk Augustynowicz. Interment in Cliffside Cemetery will follow the reception. Donations in memory of Pia may be made to a charity of your choice.
