With heartache, the family of Pietro (Peter) Pucci, would like to inform you of his passing, with family by his side.
Pietro came to Canada from Italy in 1951. Home was Marathon for 53 years, followed by Thunder Bay for the past 10. He was a devoted husband and father and an active member of the church. His career was shortened by injury but was considered a master tradesman by his peers.
The youngest of his siblings, Pietro was predeceased by his parents Francesco (1963) and Sofia (1968), an early namesake near birth, as well has his sisters Assunta, Righetta, Dina & Guiseppa within the past few years.
Pietro will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 63 years Luciana, as well as the papa of Enrico (Tina) and Fabio (Cami) and the nonno of Cara, Lisa, Alexander, Michael, Rebecca and Alexandra (Grant).
The family wishes to thank all who have reached out to share their condolences and sorrow. Thank you to the Hospice Unit for your tenderness, compassion and foremost care.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 3, 2015 in the Chapel of Harbourview Funeral Centre, 499 North Cumberland Street officiated by Rev. Maurizio Maifredi. Visitation for family and friends will be held one hour prior to the service. If friends so desire please, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Pietro’s memory, to St Joseph’s Hospital Hospice Unit.
