With heavy hearts the Meems family announces the sudden passing of Ralph Meems, unexpectedly at his home, on February 12, 2022.
Ralph is survived by his loving wife Lundi, son Darren (Lacie), siblings Rebecca, Ria (Bert), Jane, Anne (Arie), brothers Hank (Wendy), Jack (Caroline), Bill (Judy), Chris (Alice), brother-in-law Hank, father and mother-in-law Koen and Jean Grootenboer, Jacqueline (Ralph), Lauri (Peter), John (Gertrude), Patricia (Ted) as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Annechien and Hendrik, sister Margret and brother-in-law Peter.
Ralph married the love of his life Lundi on October 14, 1987. When they got married, Ralph and Lundi made goals to travel coast to coast but their horizons widened and they travelled to many more places such as Jamaica, Mexico, Caribbean cruises, even Alaska to go panning for gold and white water rafting.
Later in life, Ralph enjoyed his retirement by spending time outside with Lundi and the dogs, tinkering in the wood shop, fishing trips to Dryden which included visiting Darren and Lacie or going for a ride to town.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 17, 2022 in Hope Church, 1315 Crawford Avenue.
