Ralph Perkins Chaboyer

It is with profound sadness that the family of Ralph Perkins Chaboyer, age 77, announce his passing on July 28th, 2021 at the Nipigon District Memorial Hospital.

Ralph, aka Perkins, was born and raised in Nipigon, Ontario. He was one of the “good guys” and touched many people's lives. In the summer, he could often be found at his favourite place, The Nipigon Marina. He would spend many hours there enjoying the beauty of the land and the company of friends at the infamous BS table. He was always willing to lend a hand and be there for his family and friends.

Ralph's heart belonged to his family. They were his greatest pride and joy. Ralph met the love of his life, Beth (his buddy), 20 years ago and together they became a family. He was happy to become a stepfather and his greatest honour was being called “Papa” by his grandchildren. He loved his grandchildren with all of his heart and enjoyed watching them grow.

He is predeceased by his parents George and Julia Chaboyer, sisters Mary and Marlene, brother Alexander and nephew George Chaboyer.

Ralph will be deeply missed by his loving partner Beth, step children, Chris (Carey) Decicco, Seana (Mitch) Brennan, and Megan (Andrew) St. Jean. His grandbabies, who he loved with all of his heart, Amy, Hannah, Nolan, Alex, Leah, Morgan, Mackenzie, and Jessyka. His sister Leona Chaboyer and brother Howard Chaboyer. His cousin, Mary Anne (Rod) Seabrook. His nieces, Judy Baillie, Melanie Chaboyer, Joni Chaboyer-Potan and numerous great nieces and nephews. He will also be missed by several good friends, and his furbabies, Katie and Nugget.

Ralph's family would like to thank the Nipigon District Memorial Hospital for their compassionate care during this difficult time.

A celebration of life will take place at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Simpler Times Cremation Centre, 332 North May Street, Thunder Bay.
