Mrs. Reta Johnson, age 82 years, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 4, 2015 in St. Joseph's Hospital.

Reta was born September 10, 1932 in Port Arthur. In her early years, she worked at St. Joseph's Hospital. On September 17, 1949 she married the love of her life Eric, and together they raised five children. Reta loved flowers and cooking, and was affectionately know by her “clients” as the perm lady.

Her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren were the light of her life. She adored them all, making sure they had treats and toys at every visit. Reta and Eric spent time travelling and camping together. In recent years, while living in the Walford she made many friends with her congenial and helpful nature.

Survived by daughters Linda, Diane (Marcel), Donna (Tim), Carol (John) son Roy (Lisa), 14 grandchildren,13 great grandchildren and one great great grandson. Siblings Mae, Verna and Bill. Numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

Predeceased by her husband Eric in 1995, grandson Gary Tuchenhagen in 2014, two sisters and one brother.

Funeral services for the late Mrs. Reta Johnson will be held on Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at 10:00 AM in the EVEREST FUNERAL CHAPEL, 299 Waverley Street at Algoma with Rev. Matthew Diegel officiating. Private interment will take place in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
