S/Sgt. Richard John (Dick) Andrusky, RCMP retired, passed peacefully at home surrounded by his three loving sons on November 7, 2018. Predeceased by the “Love of his Life” Natalie (Nancy), his parents William and Mary and his sisters Stephanie and Sally. He was the beloved father to Daniel (Mariola), Mark(Pat) and Grant. Cherished Grandfather to Kathi (Jorge), Julie (Guiliano), Leah and Brianna. Proud Grandfather to Ryan, Jordan, Luca, Adam, Fenix and Noah.
Richard, born January 14, 1933, enjoyed 85 years of life, love, family, many pets, fishing and adventures. He will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by his family and friends. The family wishes to express deep gratitude to Dr. Kathy Simpson, Sarah and the staff at Thunder Bay Health Sciences Centre as well to Dr. Dani Garon, Shelly and staff at Aurora Clinic for all their care, compassion and support.
Visitation and prayers will be on Friday, November 9, 2018 between 6:00pm and 9:00pm, with funeral being on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at 9:00am at Exaltation of the Holy Cross Church, 415 West Victoria Avenue. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cancer Care Thunder Bay Health Sciences Centre.
Richard Andrusky will be remembered in the Blake Funeral Chapel Memorial Grove. Annual dedication service Sunday, June 9, 2019.
