Richard Lorne Harmer, aged 65, born March 9, 1951 passed away on January 16, 2017.

Rick was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend who enjoyed hunting, fishing, listening to music and spending time with family. He was an active member of the Kiwanis Clubs in Thunder Bay and loved the opportunity to play Santa at holiday gatherings. He spent his adult life working in sales and was forever the social butterfly.

He was married to his high school sweetheart and wife of 43 years, Adeline and together they were proud to share in the accomplishments of their daughters Andrea (Andrew), Cynthia (Bobby) and Jenn (Ryan). Nothing gave him more joy then to spend time with and share stories about his four grandchildren Violet, Amara, Lincoln and Aria.

He is also survived by his mother Lorraine and siblings Glen (Jan), Bryan (Pam), Jack (Sue), Donna (Joe), Linda (Kelly), Colleen, Donald and sister-in-law Helen. He is predeceased by his father Richard.

A celebration of life will be held at Broadway United Church, 1303 Broadmore Avenue, lower level on January 20, 2017 at 11 am.

We appreciate the kindness of the TBRHSC cancer, stroke and palliative units.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Northern Cancer Fund and Thunder Bay Centennial Kiwanis Club.
