Mr. Richard Leonard Skramrud, 71 years, resident of Shuniah, passed away peacefully at Mirror Lake Resort on September 10, 2023.
Born on May 14, 1952 in Port Arthur, Thunder Bay District, and raised in Dryden. He retired from Domtar Inc. as a Stationary Engineer June 1, 2007. Richard enjoyed fishing, hunting and yard sales but most of all, the wonderful life he led at Mirror Lake Resort with his many beloved friends.
He is survived by his soulmate and wife, Ida Skramrud; son Kristen Skramrud (Samantha Skramrud); step-sons Jason (Gabriella Rannazzassi) Schader, David Schader; step-daughter Elizabeth DiTomaso (Christopher DiTomaso) and proud grandfather to nine grandchildren.
Celebration of life has taken place.
