Mr. Richard Ward passed peacefully away with his loving wife and family by his side after a lengthy illness in St. Joseph's Hospital, on Wednesday, August 15, 2018. Richard was a devoted family man who adored his Grandchildren. Richard was a hard-working man. He started his working career at Central News, Grain Elevators, Great Lakes Ships and then Iron Worker Local 759 for the remainder of his working career.

Richard is survived by his wife Sherry, daughters Gwen (Mike), Carrie (Ark) and Kari (Dale); siblings James (MaryEllen), Patsy, Dale (Shawn), Wilfred (Shungy), Louise “Cocoa”, Jamie (Rosey) and Colleen; survived by special sister Christine Boban; grandchildren Anthony, Matthias (Patience), Iliana, Ulyssia, Alora and Envy; great-grandchildren Ryder and Paislee. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, and other relatives. Enroute is Donna Kiecman from Kitchner and Richard Dennis from B.C.. He is predeceased by parents Martha Ward and Wilfred Louis, brothers John, William and sister Bev.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 21, 2018 when family and friends will gather for Funeral Mass at 11:00 am, at St. Anne's Mission Church celebrated by Rev. Larry Kroker.  Interment will follow in Immaculate Conception Cemetery. Prayers will be offered Monday, August 20, 2018 at 7:00 pm in the St. Anne’s Mission Church.  If friends desire, memorials to the Lung Association would be appreciated.

Richard Ward will be remembered in the Blake Funeral Chapel Memorial Grove.  Annual dedication service Sunday, June 9, 2019.
