Mr. Robert Daniel “Ozzy” Osipenko, age 53 years, passed away peacefully in the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre on Wednesday, March 30, 2016, with his family by his side.

Rob was born on July 5, 1962 in Port Arthur. He was a true soldier, who was struck with illness from an early age. Rob was one of the most courageous and big hearted men around. He always had a smile for friends and family. With a glass in hand, Rob would tell stories (or lies) of his adventures. He loved his cars and the women in his life. Rob was a big fan of AC-DC and loved jamming to their music on his guitar, now a family treasure. So raise a glass and have a drink for Ozzy. He was a true fighter, who just fought his last battle.

Rob is survived by his brother Darren (Nathalie) and their children Josephine and Jesse as well as numerous other relatives.

He was predeceased by his parents Daniel and Lorna and many aunts and uncles.

Thank you to the Doctors and staff at TBRHSC for the care provided throughout his life, and for helping to make Rob comfortable during his last moments with us.

Funeral Services for the late Mr. Robert Osipenko will be held on Monday, April 4, 2016 at 1:00PM in the WESTFORT CHAPEL, 420 West Gore Street at James, officiated by Pastor Garry Heintz. Interment will follow in Mountainview Cemetery. Should friends so desire, in lieu of flowers, donations made in memory of Rob to the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Foundation or a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.
