Robert George Manfred LeGarde of Fort William First Nation, born June 6, 1988 suddenly left us early Friday morning, October 27, 2017.

Growing up in Vancouver’s suburbs, Surrey, White Rock, Langley and Aldergrove, Robert enjoyed a lifetime of outdoors. From his very early years he had a passion for motorcycles, quads, Sea Doos and anything else with a motor and power. His childhood saw every long weekend and summer vacation filled with camping and fishing trips with his brothers, Gramma and “Al”.

His early adult years saw him in love with Tannis and two young children, Damian and Strawberry Tia. Work and their distance apart saw him going his own way. He continued working in the roofing industry until he found love again, in Jasmine Robertson, the young lady who would capture his heart and give him four beautiful children, Terrell, Karmella, Shea-Louise and little Robert Jr.! Robert would eventually split up and move to Thunder Bay where he is survived by Loopy, his GF of two years, who, at seven months, carries his unborn child.

Robert is survived by his father, Gary (Candace), mom Bonnie, uncles Phil (Evelyn), Rob (Shimpy), John-Balls and Darren. Also survived his aunty Webby (Jiggs) and aunty Kim (Andy). Survived by brothers Raymond, Ryan, Dustin, Cameron and little sister Jadyn. Sadly missed by cousins Leo Jr., Sheldon, Mark, Mandy: Audrey, Sarah, Kayla: Rosie, Jennelle, Jimmy: Brandon, Brittany: little Phil and his big sister Amanda.

Robert has touched the lives and hearts of those he knew. The list of extended family is far too great. He will be sadly and dearly missed by Gramma Isabel and Nana Janet.

Predeceased by his uncle Frank (Meeko) and the man who started this all… the Boss, Papa Ray LeGarde!

Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 6, 2017, when family and friends will gather for Funeral Mass at 10:00am, at St. Anne's Mission Church celebrated by Rev. Larry Kroker s.j..  Interment will follow in Immaculate Conception Cemetery. Prayers will be offered November  5, 2017 at  7:00pm in St. Anne's Church.
