With heavy hearts the family of Bob McLoughlin announce his passing on Wednesday November 11 2015 at the age of 76, with his family by his side.

Bob was born and raised in Westfort growing up on Amelia Street. The youngest child of Maud and Thomas McLaughlin, Bob attended St. Martin’s School and St. Patrick’s High School.

Bob met and married Marilyn DeLorenzi, an East End girl and they recently celebrated their 49th anniversary. Bob was employed with the Canadian Grain Commission for 35 years, retiring as Regional Manager. Bob and Marilyn enjoyed travelling to many places in the Caribbean as well as Hawaii and one very memorable trip to California and then travelling up the West Coast Highway with their special friends Pat and Bill.

Their travels also took them to England and southern Ireland, finally settling for the sunny beaches of Indian Shores, Florida, where family would join them and special memories of sand and sea were made. His greatest joy was spending time with family and friends, especially his grandchildren Brynne, Cole and Jack.

Attending their many sporting events along with their daily activities was one of Bob’s true pleasures. He was very proud of all their accomplishments. Bob was predeceased by his parents, Maud and Thomas McLoughlin, his brother Tom McLoughlin, nephew Gary McLoughlin, aunt Mabel Crocker, and special cousin Mary Pearce, in-laws John and Gina DeLorenzi, brother-in-law Dino DeLorenzi, sister and brother-in-law Carole and Bill Radwez.

Bob is survived his wife Marilyn, children Paul, Kelli and Erin (husband John) Lambert, sister Sr. Winnifred McLoughlin of North Bay and grandchildren Brynne, Cole and Jack Lambert, sister-in-law Marcella McLoughlin and nephew Bobby McLoughlin.

Bob was a devoted member of St. Agnes’ Church volunteering his time to various ministries. Cremation has taken place and Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 17, 2015, when family and friends will gather for Funeral Mass at 12:10pm, at St. Agnes Church celebrated by Rev. James Panikulam.

Visitation for friends will take place in the church one hour prior to mass time.  If friends desire, in lieu of flowers, memorials to the Thunder Bay Regional Cancer Centre or St. Joseph’s Foundation would be appreciated.

Dad/Papa, you will be deeply missed and we will forever cherish so many memories of you.

Robert McLoughlin will be remembered in the Blake Funeral Chapel Memorial Grove.  Annual dedication service Sunday, June 12, 2016.
