Robin passed away at his home in Thunder Bay on November 23, 2017. He was born June 11, 1976 to Anne-Marie and Laurie Armstrong and grew up on Cloud Lake Road. He attended Blake Central, St. Anne and St. Patrick High Schools. He participated in wrestling, football and drama club and performed in several plays. He also wrote and directed several plays.

After several years of carpentry work in Vancouver, Robin reconnected with an old friend Jeannine Ross. After a courtship, working and travelling together they were married on December 28, 2012. Life became very difficult for Robin after Jeannine's death in February, 2013.

He spent time at camp at Eva Lake and with help from his younger brothers renovated his cabin. He and his Chocolate Lab, Jackson, spent a lot of time with his family, friends and neighbors.

Thanks to Jeannine, Robin found his artistic side and his bird nests and landscaping grace many yards. He loved curling in Stratton, fishing at Straw Lake and attending the hunting camp with the crew.

Robin touched many in his short life. Survived by parents Anne-Marie and Laurie; sisters Lori-Anne (Mark) and Tracy (Chris) Sallaway; brothers Joseph (Katey), Duane (Aleisha) and Brent (Jessica); nieces and nephews; grandparents Melvin and Annie Armstrong; many aunts, uncles, cousins and numerous special friends who made up his extended family.

Robin was predeceased by wife Jeannine, grandparents Annette and Alphonse and aunt Lise and uncle Rene Langlais.

Funeral service will be held Thursday, November 30, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Agnes Church with Fr. James Panikulam officiating. Internment planned for a later date. If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to the Thunder Bay Regional Hospital Cardiac Unit.
