Ronald Lawrence Yantz

Mr. Ronald Lawrence Yantz, age 70 years, a resident of Thunder Bay, passed away peacefully in Hogarth Riverview Manor on September 2, 2018 with his daughter by his side.

Ron was born on April 6, 1948 in Fort William, Ontario. He worked on the railroad his whole life, working with CN until his early retirement due to ongoing health issues. He loved fishing, day picnics at Chippewa Park, and spending time with his family and friends.

Ron will be sadly missed by his daughter Kari-Anne Lebel (Ilderton,Ont), husband Don, granddaughter Kathleen, grandson Phillip, mother of his children Susan Kragero, his brothers Greg, Wayne, John, sisters Debbie, Brenda and long-time friend Virginia Pollard. Ron was predeceased by his father Earle, mother Audrey, son Ronnie, brothers Gerald and Bruce.

Ron’s wishes were to be cremated with no service and will be laid to rest at a later date. If friends and family so desire, donations may be made in Ron’s memory to the Salvation Army Thunder Bay Community Church or Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
