Ronald Poster, age 66 years, a resident of Thunder Bay, passed away peacefully on October 12, 2017 in St. Joseph’s Hospital, Hospice Unit.
Ron worked in many trades but his main interests were construction and drywall. When not “talking up a storm”, he loved to watch wrestling and enjoyed gardening. He was loved not only by people but by animals and his goldfish.
Ron is lovingly remembered by his wife Sandra and children Chad and Charlene (James Gross); grandchildren Edjrin and Dailon Gross; brothers David (Rachel) Poster, Niel (Bonnie) Poster, Gary (Gwen) Poster; sister Dorothy (Gordon) McKenzie; sisters-in-law Florence Poster, Muriel Poster, Bernice Poster and Joanne Poster; brothers-in-law John Jonas, James Salmi and Frank Salmi. Numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.
Ron was predeceased by his father Mike Poster; mother Mable Poster; twin brother Donald Poster and brothers Raymond, Richard, Robert, Arnold, John and Ted Poster; sisters Joan in infancy, Sophie Albert, Margaret Jonas; mother-in-law Wilma Salmi; sister-in-law Laura Poster; brother-in-law Lange Albert.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, October 20, 2017 in the Chapel of Harbourview Funeral Centre, 499 North Cumberland Street, presided by Rev. Gordon Holroyd. Visitation for family and friends will begin one hour prior, at 12:00 Noon. Interment in Sunset Memorial Gardens will follow the reception. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society in Ron’s memory would be appreciated.
