Mrs. Rose Berube, age 89, passed away peacefully on August 10, 2022 in Hogarth Riverview Manor with family by her side.
Rose was born in Gurney, Ontario on February 19, 1933. She loved cooking and baking and was very well known for both. Rose was famous for her fabulous pies made for the Fall Fishing Festival CWL booth, where people lined up to get a piece. Family and friends that were lucky enough to partake in Rose’s Sunday dinners were welcomed with homemade cuisine prepared with love, friendship, and laughter.
Her family was everything to her, she loved spending time with family and friends, and she could always be counted on to care for anyone in need.
Rose will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her children Valerie and Randy Bull, Vanessa, Jaime and Kyla. Judy and Andy Atchison, Jordan and Kelly, Chris and Isabel, Quinn and Jesse. Betty Ann and Martin Morin, Tyler, Blake and Mason. Jeffery and Linda Berube, Jenna and Andrew Brown, Ellie and Evy, Evan and Kaitlyn. Kevin Berube and Christine, Sam, Adam and Ben. Poncho’s girls, Miranda, Lily, Cassidy and Spencer. As well as her surviving siblings: Edgar Ray (Jean Smith), Pat Gordon (Don Winters), Joyce (Roy) Mannila and Myrna McLeod (Gerry Brien) and Germaine Nicol (Dalton Johnson). Numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.
Rose was predeceased by her husband Lawrence and son Poncho, her parents John and Sophie Ray, brothers Doug, John, Richard, Clarence, Clifford, Sylvester and Roy. (all Rays)

Funeral Services for Rose will be held at Annunciation of Blessed Virgin Mary, Nipigon on Tuesday, August 16, 2022 where the Funeral Mass will be celebrated by Fr. Henryk Augustynowicz at 11:00 a.m. with interment to follow at Cliffside Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be held in the church beginning at 10:00 a.m.
