It is with deep sorrow that the family of Rose Cella announces her peaceful passing at Hogarth Riverview Manor on Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2018. Her three sons were at her side. Mom was born in Fort William, Ont. on Sept. 1, 1920.

In 1941, Mom married William Cella and they raised three sons. Mother’s life centered around her home, family and friends. She was a good cook and enjoyed knitting, crocheting and family gatherings. Mom was an avid reader of novels.

Mom is survived by her children Bill (Carol), James (Linda), Terence (Marlene); sister Janette; grandchildren Sean (Shannon), Warren (Rachelle), Darren (Heather) and Robert; great grandchildren Hannah, Kaitlin, Jenna, Benjamin, Jaedon and Emerson. A number of nieces and nephews and their families survive. Mom was predeceased by her parents Mary and Paul Lozinski; in-laws Tony and Pauline Cella; sisters Mary, Ceclia, Helen, Ann, and Stella, and grandson Jason (in infancy) and a number of brothers-in-law.

Cremation has taken place and the funeral prayer service to celebrate Rose’s life will be held on Friday, Oct. 12, 2018 at 11 AM at Blake Funeral Chapel on 200 May Street South, Thunder Bay, Ontario.
