It is with heavy hearts that the family of “Auntie” Rose mourn her passing at St. Joseph’s Hospice on Saturday, August 1, 2015.

Rose was born in Fort William, Ontario on February 2, 1928, daughter of Nykola and Anna Gronski.  She married Alex Dokuchic in 1958 and was devoted to him until his passing in 1996.  She was a longtime member of Knox United Church-Pruden Street and served the church in many capacities.  She had a heart of grace and caring which endeared her to everyone who knew her.  She will be sorely missed by her sister Ann MacDonald, nieces and nephews, as well as numerous great nieces and great nephews.  She was also predeceased by her sister Marie and brother-in-law John MacDonald.

Cremation has taken place and a memorial service for Rose will be held on Thursday, August 6, 2015 at 1:00pm in the Blake Funeral Chapel with Minister Doreen Lankshear-Smith officiating.  Private family interment to follow in Sunset Mermorial Gardens.  In lieu of flowers memorials to the charity of ones choice would be appreciated.

Kindness

I shall pass through this world
But once.
If, therefore, there be any
Kindness I can show,
Or any good thing I can do,
Let me do it now;
Let me not defer or neglect it.
For I shall not pass
This way again.

Rose Dokuchic will be remembered in the Blake Funeral Chapel Memorial Grove.  Annual dedication service Sunday, June 12, 2016.
