orma Rose Nistico, born on April 28 1927, was a permanent resident of Thunder Bay. Norma passed away peacefully with family by her side at the TBRHSC on Thursday, September 10, 2015, at the age of 88.

Norma was predeceased by her parents Francesco and Terisina Sprovieri, her sister Anne Laine, brother Rudy Sprovieri, husband Louie Nistico and son Larry Nistico.

Norma is survived by her son Lou, his children Lori-Anne, Justin and Nikki, her son Gary (Ingrid), their children Colin and Kim, her daughter-in-law Susan and her children Bree and Robert. Norma is also survived by her brother Tony Sprovieri (Elaine), several great grandchildren and extended family.

In her later years, Norma enjoyed the many visits she had with her fur-buddy, Minnie.

Norma loved her time with the gentle dachshund, cuddling, napping, watching television together and especially watching Minnie play ‘squeaky toy’. Although Minnie was full of kisses for Norma, this was the one part of their visits that Norma could go without.

Throughout her life, Norma could always be found watching her favourite sports teams on the television, as she was an avid sports fan and never missed a Blue Jays or Maple Leafs game. Her love of sports stemmed from watching Louie and their boys who were actively involved with hockey and baseball throughout the years. Norma’s love of sports continues amongst the

Nistico family and will continue for generations. We know Norma is happily watching her sports again with her boys Louie and Larry. GO JAYS GO!

Funeral services will be held on Monday September 14 2015 when friends and family will gather funeral mass at 10:00 am in St. Dominic’s Church celebrated by Rev. Maurizio Maifreidi c.s. Interment will follow in Mountain View Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made on behalf of Norma Rose Nistico to a charity of your choice.

Norma Nistico will be remembered in the Blake Funeral Chapel Memorial Grove.  Annual dedication service Sunday, June 12, 2016.
