Rosemary Helen Heath

It is with heavy hearts the family of Helen Heath (Corbett) announce her passing on August 17, 2017 at the age of 82.

Helen was born in Fort William on February 3, 1935 to Clarence and Kathleen Corbett. Helen proudly graduated the class of ‘56 McKellar Nursing program and went on to have a long and rewarding career as an RN. She started her nursing career at McKellar hospital but soon after graduating, she moved to St. Joseph Hospital 4 South where she would work until her retirement.

Mom loved to spend her summers at the family camp on Sandstone Lake. She spent this summer enjoying her pontoon rides with the family and her furry grandson Bandit. We were blessed with the past few weeks at camp to have had so much quality time and fun with mom before her sudden passing. Mom was also an avid gardener and loved to do ceramics and share them with the family.

Helen is survived by her children Catherine (Dean) Main, Ken Heath, John (Angie) Heath and Angela (Dom) Foucault. Grandchildren Adam, Ashley, Burgandy, Kendra, James and Cody and great grandchildren Pfeiffer, Emma and Ayva, as well as brothers Joe Corbett, Jim Corbett and sister Dorothy Inaba. Mom was predeceased by her parents, sister Shirley and brother Bob.

Funeral Services for Helen will be held on Friday, August 25, 2017 beginning at 12:00 Noon in the Chapel of the Harbourview Funeral Centre, 499 North Cumberland Street, presided by Archdeacon Deborah Kraft of St. Paul’s Anglican Church. Visitation for family and friends will be held one hour prior to the service time. Donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society, or Heart and Stroke Foundation.
