The family of Roslyn Danielson (nee Macdonald) is deeply saddened to announce her passing on March 3, 2017 at the age of 73 following a courageous battle with lung cancer.

Roslyn was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by husband Dwight of 46 years, children Stephen (Leslie-and grandsons Jonathan and Mathew) of Fort Frances, Michael of Montreal and Heather of Ottawa, brothers Ian Macdonald of Saskatoon and Alan Macdonald of Thunder Bay.  She is predeceased by her parents John and Winifred Macdonald.

Roslyn was born February 11, 1944 in Montreal and moved to Thunder Bay in 1949.  Roslyn was a legal secretary for many years.  She enjoyed camping at West Loon Lake with her family and taking numerous trips to Mexico and the Caribbean.  She loved dancing and was an original member of the Sexy Sassy Seniors and spent many hours working in her flower gardens.  Roslyn was very strong willed and had a beautiful laugh and smile.  She was extremely proud of the success of her children.  She was deeply loved and will be missed.

Special thanks to Dr. Ek, Dr. Sicheri and Dr. Ramchandar and the nursing staff on 2B at the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre.  Respecting Roslyn’s wishes, there will be no funeral or service.  Cremation has taken place and interment will take place privately at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory to the Northern Cancer Research Foundation would be appreciated.
