Ruby Johnson

Ms. Ruby May Johnson, age 58, passed away suddenly but peacefully with her family by her side on May 23, 2017. 

On March 22, 1959, Ruby was born at McKellar Hospital in Fort William, Ontario to her parents Margaret Johnson and Patrick Johnson. She lived most of her childhood in Upsala, Ontario with her parents and siblings. Ruby was a dedicated mother, grandmother, aunt and sister. To her, family is everything and would go out of her way for anyone who needed help. Her compassion and empathy for others is just a small glimpse at how beautiful of a person she was. She loved to spend time with her family, especially her sister Loretta, her grandchildren and her best friend and loyal companion, Jack. 

Ruby will be deeply missed by her sons John Johnson and James Johnson; daughter April Lesperance; granddaughters Jade Johnson-Hardy, Jordynn Johnson and Kirsta Goodman; grandson Jacob Goodman and newest grandson Levi Kakepetum (May 25, 2017); sisters Loretta Johnson, Margaret Johnson and Olive Schori; brothers Patrick Johnson, Ben Johnson (Lesley) and Carson Johnson (Tania) and numerous nieces and nephews. Ruby was predeceased by her husband Ernest Lesperance; father Patrick Johnson; mother Margaret Johnson; brothers Jackie Johnson, Leonard Johnson and Edward Johnson; sisters Patricia Johnson and Janet Johnson. 

Funeral service for Ruby Johnson will be Monday, May 29, 2017 at St. Anne’s R.C. Church at 10:30 a.m. with Father Larry Kroker officiating.
