Mr Rudolf  Cerny age 73 years, a resident of Thunder Bay, died in Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre, on Tuesday, February 9, 2016. 

Rudolf was born and raised in Bratislava, Slovakia immigrating to Canada in 1968. He was employed with Abitibi Forest Products and Kiefer Terminals during his work career. 

Rudolf is survived by his son’s, Drahos (Jana), Peter (Viera) of Slovakia, Rudy Jr. of Thunder Bay and Roman (Martha) of Calgary; grandchildren, Martina, Peter, Jana, Erika, Petra, Alexandra and one great granddaughter Natalia and siblings Karol, Barbara and Teresa and other relatives in Slovakia. He was predeceased by his wife Olga, February 28, 2006 in Thunder Bay and his parents, brother John and sister Anna in Slovakia.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 12, 2016 when family and friends will gather for Funeral Mass at 11:00am, at St. Peter's Church celebrated by Rev. Terry Sawchuk. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service in the church.  If friends desire, memorials to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.

Rudolf Cerny will be remembered in the Blake Funeral Chapel Memorial Grove.  Annual dedication service Sunday, June 11, 2017.
