It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ruth Lorraine Randle (nee Fadden), age 70 years. She passed away peacefully in Southbridge Roseview Manor on Sunday, February 12, 2023, with all of her children by her side.

Ruth was born on January 28, 1953 and lived a good life filled with hunting, fishing and living in the country with her husband. During the last few years, Ruth resided at Roseview Manor, where she enjoyed the many friendships with other residents and the staff. She was always trying to help out the staff and for a while took on the role as an “employee”, telling us how she worked there and was getting paid to look after the dining room. Ruth especially enjoyed the church services, sing-a-longs, pet visits, bingos and many other activities provided.

She was predeceased by her parents, Bill and Lorraine Fadden as well as her husband, Wesley Francis Randle.

Ruth is survived by her children, Ruby (Fred) Whiting, Wesley (Sherry) Randle and Tammy Randle; her 13 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild between Thunder Bay and Kenora; siblings Karolyn (Ed) Munn, Bill (Val) Fadden and Deborah (Bob) Gratten as well as brother-in-law Harold (Nancy) Randle and numerous nieces and nephews. She made several friends along the way who will miss her, especially Elaine Laidler, Linda Orr, Mike and Sue Moore.

A huge thank you goes out to all of the staff and volunteers at Roseview Manor on Heritage, Primrose and Celeste wings for all of the fantastic care Ruth received during her stay. It gave us relief to know she was always being looked after and having a wonderful time when the family couldn't always be there for her. They made things special for Ruth at all the holidays and we are grateful to have been able to have her there.

Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Ruth's life will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2023 with a come and go reception held from 10:00am until 12:00pm in the WESTFORT CHAPEL, 420 West Gore Street at James. Ruth will be laid to rest with her husband in the Cloud Bay Cemetery at a later date.

Should friends so desire, in lieu of flowers, donations made to the Alzheimer Society are greatly appreciated.
