“Living the Life of Ryley”

On April 22, 2022, we unexpectedly lost our baby boy (Bebe). His life was taken too soon yet, we had the honour and privilege that he chose us to be his parents for his brief period on earth. He was 23 years old and enjoyed a variety of music, but he really loved Taylor Swift. Ryley attended Algonquin Elementary School and later went on to Hammarskjöld High School. He worked for Plow King and Murillo Mill in Thunder Bay, ON.

When at home, his favourite pastimes were playing on the computer and exercising. Ryley was incredibly grateful for his time with his family. He enjoyed going for rides and grabbing Tim Horton’s coffee and a McChicken with no mayo but adding a tomato. Ryley was such a great, and caring boy, and will be deeply missed forever by family and friends.

Ryley leaves behind his parents, Peter Hubbard, and Susan King, brothers, Cyrus (Elizabeth), and Skyler; grandparents, Joseph and Sandra King, aunts and uncles, Linda, Gwendoline, Laura (Eugene Sr.), Arlene, René, Celestine (Simo), Kathy (Max), Susie, Jeanette (Jim), and Joseph Jr., and by all his cousins. Ryley is predeceased by grandparents, Peter, and Veronica (nee Wilson) King and his cat Puz Puz whom he had for 15 years of his life.

We would like to give thanks to all the family who helped during this challenging time along with the paramedics, fire department, police, and the TBRHSC nurses and doctors for their support during our loss of Ryley Peter King.

Visitation will be held on Monday May 2, 2022, from 6:00PM – 7:00PM, with prayers at 7:00 PM, at Sargent & Son Funeral Chapel. Funeral services for Ryley will be on Tuesday May 3, 2022, at 11:00AM, at the chapel with Father Gerry McDougall presiding over the ceremony. The service will be livestreamed via Sargent & Son’s Facebook page for those who wish to attend virtually. Ryley will be laid to rest on Friday, May 6, at 11 AM at St. Andrew’s Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, we ask that you donate to Adult Mental Health at TBRHSC and remember the wonderful life of Ryley.
