Mrs. Sandra Fraser, age 73 years, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 in Thunder Bay Regional Heath Sciences Centre. 

Sandra was born June 17, 1944 in Milton, Ontario to Carl and Beatrice Tully. She was educated in Southern Ontario and then Lakeview High School. She completed the RNA course, and began working for the City of Thunder Bay, Dawson Court Home for the Aged, retiring after 28 years. 

She married Howard Fraser on December 29, 1979 and they would have celebrated their 38th wedding anniversary yesterday. Together, they wintered the last 15 years in Florida and Arizona. She loved their many trips to Las Vegas. After her retirement, Sandra began golfing. She was a member of the Centennial Golf Course Ladies Club. 

Sandra is survived by her loving husband, Howard; children Victor (Melina) Laurin, Annette Edmonds and Jeannette (James) Mirabelli; grandchildren Ryan, Rachelle and Nicole Laurin, and Crissy Laurin (Chris Dohan); great grandson Avery Dohan; brother in-law Allan (Irmeli) Fraser; and close friends and travelling companions, Rick and Pat Pessotti. 

She was predeceased by her parents; daughter in-law Danette Laurin and close friend Bonnie Cimini.

Thank you to the Dr.'s, nurses and staff of 1A-TBRHSC, especially Dr. Allison and nurses Ally, Meghan, Erin, Jorie, Sarah, Shaelyn, Melissa and Kendall. Your compassion will never be forgotten.

A Celebration of Sandra's Life will be held in the spring of 2018. Arrangements have been entrusted to Simpler Times Cremation Center, 332 North May Street at Cameron. 

If friends so desire, donations may be made to the Northern Cancer Fund or the Alzheimer Society.
