Mr. Sandro Fragale, age 55 years, passed away peacefully, surrounded by loving family, in the T.B.R.H.S.C. on Saturday, May 13, 2017.

Sandro was born in Port Arthur on October 15, 1961, the son of Luigi and Maria Fragale and was a lifetime resident.

A painter by trade he worked for Clara Industrial, Superior Coatings and lastly as Business Representative for I.U.P.A.T. District Council 46, Local Union 1671.

An avid outdoorsman, Sandro enjoyed hunting and fishing. His backyard neighbor as a young boy was a young lady by the name of Anita Riekko. Though they didn’t know it then the two would reconnect in later years and fall in love. Sandro married the love of his life Anita Riekko on May 22, 1987, and together they raised a son Matthew and daughter Alexa.

Sandro was an extremely generous man who projected such a vibrant energy, had great compassion for others and loved to enjoy a good laugh with family and friends. His greatest love was for his family, especially his children Matthew and Alexa, and he was happiest when enjoying their company. He will be lovingly remembered and dearly missed by his wife Anita, with whom he would have celebrated 30 years of marriage later this month, children Matthew and Alexa, parents Luigi and Maria Fragale, brothers Vince (Frances) Fragale and Paul Fragale, as well as by numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives. He was predeceased by his mother-in-law and father-in-law Sylvi and Niilo Riekko.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 when family and friends will gather at St. Anthony’s R.C. Church for the Funeral Mass beginning at 10:30 a.m. celebrated by Rev. Luigi Filippini. The interment service will take place in St. Andrew’s R.C. Cemetery following the reception. Visitation for friends will be held on Tuesday, May 16, 2017 from 6-8 p.m. in the Sargent & Son Funeral Chapel, 21 N. Court Street, where the Vigil Service will begin at 8 p.m. As expressions of sympathy memorials to the T.B.R.H.S. Foundation-Northern Cancer Fund would be appreciated.
