Mr. Sergio Segat, age 87 years, passed away peacefully at Lakehead Manor on Tuesday, November 14, 2017. Sergio was born May 14, 1930 in Romans di Varmo, Udine, Italy. He immigrated to Thunder Bay in 1958, as he started employment as a mason and then became a machine operator at Klomp-Wakefield Dairies for 34 years until his retirement in 1994. He was a lifetime honorary member of the Principe di Piemonte Italian Society, and a member of St. Elizabeth's Parish.

Sergio will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife of 43 years, Gliceria (Cherry);  brother, Libero Segat, sister- in-law, Nelly Segat, nephews, Ed (Christine) and their children, Ethan and Jennifer, Raymond (Kathy) and niece, Janet Segat. brother-in-law, Ramon Ramirez and numerous nieces and nephews in the Philippines, and lifetime close friends that were like family to him, Ido and Silvana Caratti, Claudio and Lucio Caratti and their families and Loredana Bene.

He was predeceased by his parents Valentino and Rachelle Segat and sister, Vitalina. Visitation will be offered Thursday morning, November 16, 2017, from 9:30-10:30 a.m. in the Blake Funeral Chapel followed by removal to St. Elizabeth’s Church for funeral mass at 11:00 a.m. celebrated by Rev. Rey Ronquillo. 
Interment will follow at St. Andrews Cemetery. 

If friends so desire, memorials may be made to the TBRHSC Foundation Cardiac Fund or a charity of your choice.
 

Sergio Segat will be remembered in the Blake Funeral Chapel Memorial Grove.  Annual dedication service Sunday, June 10, 2018.
