Servina Lorna Gorst (née Shaganash), born on June 15, 1957, in Hornepayne, Ontario, passed away at the age of 67 on Wednesday, August 28, 2024, in Hillsport, Ontario. She leaves behind a legacy as a devoted wife, respected hard worker, and cherished member of her community.
Servina dedicated many years of her life working diligently as a Stacker Operator at Longlac Lumber, showcasing her strong work ethic and commitment to her role.
She is survived by her loving husband, Kenneth Gorst; siblings Jennifer Wright (Ronald Wright), Mervin Shaganash (Cathy Hardy), Clifford Shaganash (Emelita Shaganash), Agnes (Debbie) Shaganash (Robert Watson), Harvey Shaganash (Charla Charles), Lisa Echum (Derek Echum), Priscilla Shaganash, Georgina Shaganash (Ronald Echum), Farin Shaganash (Esther Moore) and Joshua Shaganash (Tanya Duchene). Servina also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and other relatives who will miss her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Hanna and Angus Shaganash; her nephew, Ian Shaganash; and many beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Servina's life was marked by her unwavering dedication to her family and her work, leaving an indelible impact on all who knew her. Her memory will be cherished and kept alive by the many lives she touched.
Funeral Services for the late Servina Gorst will be held on Thursday, September 5, 2024 at 1:00pm in Bethany Pentecostal Church, Manitouwadge. Interment will follow in the Manitouwadge Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be held Wednesday evening from 6:00 until 9:00pm in the Church.
