It is with heavy hearts that the family of Sharon Carlson announce her sudden passing on March 8, 2022. She was a dedicated and much-loved wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, cousin and friend to many.

Sharon was born on April 16, 1951 in Nolalu, Ontario. She met the love of her life Pierre in the early 70’s in Thunder Bay where they started a family. Sharon worked many years as a chambermaid then moved on to the March of Dimes as a sales clerk where she loved interacting with the customers. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends whom she welcomed with a warm hug and loved unconditionally. Sharon was known as a social butterfly and put many miles on her shoes with daily trips to the mall for coffee hour. She spent countless hours lending a helping hand to others with meal preparation, cleaning or being there for moral support. Sharon was a very generous person with a kind thoughtful heart. Her natural beauty and gentleness would never go unnoticed.

She will be dearly missed by her husband Pierre; son Peter; son Richard (Melanie); her grandchildren Katelynn (Justin), Trey, Zeke, Tylor and Aaron. She is also survived by her brother Rick; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins as well as her dear friends Sharon, Lawrence and Mark.

She was predeceased by her father Gunnar; mother Julie and siblings Peter, Linda, Mary, Peggy and Betty.

Sharon’s family would like to thank the nurses and PSW’s at ParaMed that supported and worked with Sharon everyday for the last year, especially Darragh F. Special thanks also goes out to her son Peter, her brother Rick, nieces Bobbie (Gary) and Brigette for all their help and support.

As per Sharon’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the ALS Society of Canada.

She will be deeply missed and forever in our hearts.
