Shirley passed away peacefully in her sleep March 5.
Predeceased by parents Lillian Jane & Ellis Charles Robinson (1984 & 1976), sister Arlene (2003), and husband Robert James (2005).
Survived by 2 daughters, Debbie (George) Petty and Diane (Greg) Noll, 3 grand kids, Nigel, Marek & Carissa, 2 great grand kids Matthew & Sloane. Sister Dianne (Fern). Several nieces and nephews.
Shirley loved the outdoors, from camping & fishing with Bob to later in life enjoying her walks at McKenzie Beach. Shirl & Bob built their family bungalow on Birch Street and enjoyed it for almost 33 years. Then they moved to McKenzie Beach. That was Shirl’s happy place. She lived there over 30 years and loved every minute of it.
If Shirley had a bucket list, it would have included: marrying Bob, having kids, building the family home, buying a camper, getting a home on Lake Superior, vacation in Hawaii, travelling with family to Alaska to complete Bob’s wish list.
Huge thank you to the Pioneer Ridge Plaza 2 staff for treating Shirley as one of their own family members, it was much appreciated.
As per Shirley’s wishes, there will not be a funeral or celebration of life. Charitable donations can be sent to George Jeffrey Children’s Centre or your preference.
