It is with great sorrow that the family of Shirley Mavis Hagstrom (née Davis) announce her passing on Friday, June 17, 2016 at St. Joseph’s Hospital, in her 90th year.
Shirley was born in International Falls, Minnesota and moved to Fort William with her family at the age of two. In 1946 she married Carl Magnus Hagstrom and together they raised two daughters, Carla and Karen, and one son, Conrad.
She is survived by her children, Carla Hagstrom Bissada (Moufeed), Karen Schincariol (Walter), and Conrad Hagstrom (Sharon); her sister, Joyce MacKay; four grandchildren, Merrick (Natalie) and Mark (Ember) Schincariol and Carl (Sara) and Christopher (Kayla) Hagstrom; six great-grandchildren, Anthony, Evan, Kate, Quinn, Delaney, and Everly; and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband, Carl; her parents, Olive and Orville Davis; and a son in infancy.
As per Shirley’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A service will be held at St. Patrick’s Cathedral on Wednesday, June 22, at 11:00, followed by interment at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Family and friends are invited to an open house in celebration of Shirley’s life at the home of her daughter, Karen Schincariol, 1760 Meryle St., Vickers Heights, after the service.

Shirley Hagstrom will be remembered in the Blake Funeral Chapel Memorial Grove. Annual dedication service Sunday, June 11, 2017.
