Mr. Stefano Prisco, age 88 years, passed away peacefully in Grandview Lodge on Monday, November 16, 2015 after a lenthy illness.
Stefano was born in Italy on January 8, 1927. He owned his own gravel truck, then went to work for the Ministry of Transportation, until retirement in 1992. Stefano enjoyed gardening and playing bocce. His greatest joy in life was his family and he especially loved spending time with his grandchildren and most recently, his two great-grandsons.
Stefano is survived by his son Frank (Donna); grandchildren Nina (Terry) Anderson, Nicole and Daniel Prisco as well as great-grandsons Nathaniel and Jaxon Anderson. Numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive in Canada and Italy.
He was predeceased by his wife, Michelina (1962), second wife Margherita (2006) and daughter Carmelina (2011).
Funeral Services for the late Mr. Stefano Prisco will be held on Friday, November 20, 2015 leaving the WESTFORT CHAPEL, 420 Gore Street West at 9:30AM to St. Dominic's Roman Catholic Church for the Funeral Mass at 10:00AM celebrated by Fr. Maurizio Maifredi. Cremation will follow with interment at a later date in St. Patrick's Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday evening after 6:00PM in the Westfort Chapel with Vigil Prayers being offered at 8:00PM.
Should friends so desire, in lieu of flowers, donations made in memory of Stefano to the Alzheimer Society would be greatly appreciated.
