A beautiful woman from her youth to old age, STELLA FEDORI passed away at Southbridge Pinewood on June 27, 2021, just 10 days after her 98th birthday.

She will be remembered always with love by her daughter Pat and son-in-law Myron Warywoda; grandsons Mark (Winnie), Peter (Michelle), and David (Catherine Rose) Warywoda. Six great grandchildren - Jake, Lauryn, Noel, Meagan, Lynden, and Tristan Warywoda - were privileged to love and be loved by Baba Stella. As well, special niece Sandy Pivarnik and numerous other nieces and nephews will fondly remember Auntie Stella for her love, her generous nature and her never-ending spirit.

Stella was predeceased by her two husbands: Peter Duchnicky, a firefighter who died in a work-related accident in 1957, and Eddie Fedori, who was actually the best man at Stella’s first wedding, who died at the age of 100+ years in 2018. Also preceding Stella were her beloved sister Midge and brother-in-law Hank Pivarnik, as well as numerous well-loved in-laws: Zion and Anne Fedori, Ron and Kay Fedori, Helen and Bill Lysak, and Fran and Mars Brescasin.

Stella enjoyed her many activities (needlework, bowling, golf, card games); her memberships (St Anne’s Society at Church of the Holy Cross, the church choir, the Prosvita Choir); her faith (daily mass when possible); her grandsons’ activities (football, basketball, volleyball, skiing...always cheering on the sidelines); and travel (Ukraine, Greece, Caribbean islands, Europe, and two months of 20 consecutive years enjoying Hawaiian sun). A truly remarkable, full life for one who came from such humble beginnings.

Stella was a strong-willed, feisty woman right to the end. Except for the tragedy that left her widowed at 34, she had a long, charmed life: she had a sharp intellect, physical beauty and a sense of elegance and style, two men who loved her, a large loving family, the means to fulfill most of her desires including world travel, good health until the last few years, and a faith that sustained her. She had blessings by the bundle!

And so, we say goodbye with both tears and gratitude in our hearts - tears because she will be missed, and gratitude for her life and her love. Rest In Peace, Mom. You deserve it!

A small, family funeral will be held for Stella on Friday, July 2, at 10:00 a.m. at the Church of the Holy Cross. Because of Covid protocols, we regret that attendance must be restricted to “by invitation only”. In lieu of flowers, should you wish, donations in Stella’s memory to TBRHSC (“area of highest need”) or to Church of the Holy Cross would be appreciated.
