We were blessed with the best mother and grandmother (Nanny) in the world, and we are heartbroken to say that she has passed after a brief illness. 85 years ago, Stephanie Kresack was born to Anthony and Mary in Fort William, Ontario. Family, faith, and church were the cornerstones of her life.

Stephanie was actively involved with St. Peter’s Auxiliary and the church choir, where she first met her solid, lifelong friends (aka The Go-Go Girls), and where she met the love of her life, our father and grandfather, Louis Dulacka.  They married May 5, 1951 and a couple of years later, started a family. Outside of the home, Stephanie held a full time career, retiring from the City of Thunder Bay in the late 1980s.   Retirement allowed her to spend more time traveling, getting together with friends, and bowling with her senior group.   She was a member of the St Patrick’s CWL, Music Ministry, Ministry of the Sick, and was also involved with the Slovak Legion.

Stephanie is survived by her children: Charlene (Ian MacRae) of Thunder Bay, Marsha (Joe Ferriolo) of Thunder Bay, Robert (Michelle Gvora) of Orange County CA, her grandchildren: Erin, Marissa, Kristin, Karli Ferriolo, and Brandon and Ashley Dulacka.  Many nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive. She is predeceased by her husband Louis, infant daughter Cheryl Rose, parents Mary and Anthony Kresack, brothers John and Albert, sisters Mary and Helen.

Funeral mass for family and friends will be celebrated by Rev. Msgr. P.M. Stilla V.G. and will take place on Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at 2:00pm in St. Patrick’s Cathedral.  Visitation will take place on Tuesday, February 17 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm in the Blake Funeral Chapel with prayers at 7 pm.

In honor of our loving mother and grandmother, if anyone wishes, donations may be made to the charity of your choice.  We will miss her every day.

Stephanie Dulacka will be remembered in the Blake Funeral Chapel Memorial Grove.  Annual dedication service Sunday, June 12, 2016.
