Steve Slivchak, a resident of Thunder Bay, passed away peacefully on April 13, 2018. Steve was born in the East End of Fort William and attended St. Peters and Selkirk Vocational High Schools.

He started working with Nelen Pipe Line, CNR, CSL, and in 1959 started with Provincial Papers. He retired in 1995 after 36 years of service as a Control Test Station Supervisor.

In his younger days he enjoyed sports, playing baseball, hockey and football, especially in his memorable years with the Port Arthur Mustangs. He also enjoyed painting, customizing cars and restoring antiques.

Steve is survived by his son Ryan, (Si), grandson Andrew, brother Emil (Pat), niece Dr. Jane Slivchak and husband Alex Koch, nephew Robert (Stephanie), niece Sarah and son Marcus.

He was predeceased by his parents Andrew and Ann and brother Lawrence. Numerous relatives reside in Thunder Bay and abroad.

Cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held at a later date. If desired, donations can be made to a charity of your choice.

Stephen Slivchak will be remembered in the Blake Funeral Chapel Memorial Grove.  Annual dedication service Sunday, June 9, 2019.
