Our much loved son, brother and grandson Steven, was tragically taken from us on February 28, 2023, doing what he loved the most.
Steven loved anything outdoors – his dirt bike in the summer and his snowmobile in the winter. He enjoyed gaming, travelling, golfing and camping with his group of friends.
Steven attended Kakabeka Falls School, then Churchill High School. He earned his wings from Confederation College Flight Management Program, graduating in 2018 at the top of his class. He immediately began working at Wilderness North in Nakina. His co-workers became a second family to him.
Steven is predeceased by his grandparents Ralph Mawhinney and Gord and Joan Maxwell.
Steven is survived by and will be loved forever by parents Leanne and Terry, sister Kathryn, brother Kevin, grandmother Elaine Mawhinney, special friend Cher Ames, extended family and many wonderful friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, March 18, 2023 at the Conmee Community Centre at 3pm. Come and share your stories.
