Susan Murtomaki
It is with great sadness the family of Susan Mary Murtomaki announce her passing on Saturday, February 27, 2021 in St. Joseph's Hospital at the age of 68 years.

Susan was born in Guernsey, Channel Islands on May 4, 1952. She attended the School of Occupational Therapy in Northampton, United Kingdom. She came to Canada in 1975, where she met and married the love of her life, Aarno “Arnold”. Susan was an Occupational Therapist, first at Westmount Hospital and later at St. Joseph's Hospital - devoted to her community and assisting others.

For almost 30 years, Susan, Arnold and their children sailed on their beloved sailboat 'Four in One', creating lifetime memories together on Lake Superior. This was in addition to spending summer days and winter weekends at their camp on Dog Lake. She loved to travel and adored her hometown of Guernsey, Channel Islands and visiting her family there. Family was everything to Susan.

She was very active in volunteering with the Canadian Cancer Society and she truly loved helping people and giving back. She was a selfless, devoted compassionate wife, mother, grandmother and friend.

Susan will be lovingly remembered by her son Andrew (Audrey) Murtomaki, Caitlin Murtomaki (Tim Lisecky); and grandson Kingston. She will also be missed by her family in the Channel Islands, brothers Peter and Robin; nephew Pierre, nieces Claire and Collette (and her children Sophie, Sienna, Pippa, Ellie and Joseph).

She was predeceased by her husband Arnold in 2004; and parents Victor and Kathleen Jehan.

As per Susan's wishes cremation has taken place and further celebrations of life will be held at the Camp at Dog Lake and in Guernsey, United Kingdom. Arrangements have been entrusted to EVEREST FUNERAL CHAPEL, 299 Waverley Street at Algoma.

If friends desire, donations in memory of Susan made to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.

Susan will be dearly missed and in our hearts forever.
