Susan was born in Weyburn, Saskatchewan in 1956 and moved to Port Arthur in 1960. She remained in Thunder Bay for the rest of her life. Susan loved her career at Hydro One, where she worked for the past 27 years and where she made some of her best friends. She loved to fish and play cards with her friends and family at Northern Lights Lake, and she loved to travel. Among her memorable trips were races in the United States with her husband, shopping trips to Duluth with the girls and vacations to the Caribbean and Florida.

Above all, Susan loved to spend time with her family, whether it be quiet Sunday dinners with her husband, children and grandchildren or the famous annual Boxing Day dinner party for dozens of her friends, siblings, nieces and nephews. She was loved and will be deeply missed by all of us.

The family would like to express their gratitude to the compassionate professionals who cared for Susan during her illness. Special thanks to Dr. Harris and to Dr. Cathy Simpson.

Cremation has taken place, as per Susan's instructions. A gathering of family and friends will take place on Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at 4:00pm at the West Thunder Community Centre, on South Edward Street. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, a donation be made in memory of Susan to a charity of your choice.
