Lacaria, Suzanne paper

It is with profound & heartfelt sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Suzanne Mary Celeste Lacaria (nee Bragnalo), who died peacefully on Wednesday, December 21, 2016, with her loving family by her side in the T.B.R.H.S.C.

Sue was born in Thunder Bay on January 22, 1978, the daughter of Margie and Dave Bragnalo.

A lifetime resident, she graduated from St. Patrick's High School and then from the Lakehead University School of Nursing.  As a Registered Nurse, Sue worked in various departments at the T.B.R.H.S.C., most recently at the Cardiac Cath Lab.

An exercise enthusiast, she enjoyed running and worked very hard to stay fit. A testament to her strength and fortitude, she participated annually in the 10 Mile Road Race and completed the Sleeping Giant Half Marathon & the Kamview-Fresh Air Off Road Half Marathon Relay in the midst of her battle with cancer.

Sue cherished and fondly recalled the time she spent with family at her uncle's camp at Cloud Lake and loved going back as often as she could as an adult with her family.  Her faith in God was also important to her and she cherished and took very seriously her responsibility as Godmother to her 4 wonderful Godchildren Alexa Gorst, Angelica Giardetti, Graci Letowski and Kensie Bragnalo.

She met the love of her life Frank Lacaria and the two were married on August 10, 2006.

This union gave to Suzanne her greatest joy, being the mother to her 3 beautiful daughters Gabriella, Sofi and Sara.  Sue had that special and innate ability to make everyone feel comfortable around her and her glowing and radiant smile warmed the hearts of all she met. She was genuinely beautiful from the inside out.

Sue will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by her husband Frank, daughters Gabriella ("Gabby"), Sofi and Sara, parents Margie and Dave Bragnalo, brother Christian (Brita) Bragnalo, sister Kelly Bragnalo, mother-in-law and father-in-law Domenica and Rocco Lacaria, brother-in-law Bruno (Kristen) Lacaria, sisters-in-law Katie (Jason) Manahan and Mary (Mark) Giardetti as well as by numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.  She was predeceased by her grandparents Celestina "Chella" and Angelo Marcon, Fred and Mary Bragnalo, uncles and aunts Ken and Terri Bragnalo and Val and Pat Marcon.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 28, 2016 when family and friends will gather in St. Patrick's Cathedral for the Funeral Mass beginning at 11:00 a.m. celebrated by Rev. P.M. Stilla.

Services will be complete in the church with cremation to follow.  A private interment service will take place in St. Andrew's Cemetery.  Visitation for friends will be held on Tuesday, December 27, 2016 from 5-7 p.m. in St. Patrick's Cathedral where the Vigil Service will begin at 7 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations made to the T.B.R.H.S. Foundation in Suzanne's memory would be greatly appreciated.

Arrangements are in care of the Sargent & Son Funeral Directors, 21 N. Court Street.  On-line condolences may be made at www.sargentandson.com.

Words cannot express how much we will miss you.  We take comfort in knowing that your suffering has ended.  You battled cancer with grace and dignity.  You are our hero.
