Tasso Kanellos

Mr. Tasso Kanellos, aged 83, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his children May 30, 2016.

He was married to Fofo Georgopoulos who had sorrowfully passed away September 27, 2013. He was born April 1, 1933 and immigrated to Canada with his wife in 1963, having lived in Marathon, then moving to Thunder Bay in 1976. Tasso worked at Great Lakes Forestry Products/Avenor until his retirement in 1997.

He enjoyed spending time with family, having long conversations with friends, he loved to garden and travelled often to his homeland.

He will be lovingly remembered by sons Nick (Isobel) of Ottawa, Vasily (Tabitha) of Ottawa and daughter Tina (Panagiotis) of Greece; cherished Papa of Anastasi, Anna, Dimitri and Aki.

An Evening of Remembrance will be held at Jenkens Funeral Home on June 2, 2016 from 6 – 8 p.m.
