<p> Ted (Eino Gerald Theodore) passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on Friday Dec. 13, 2013 at the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre at the age of 83.</p> <p> Ted is survived by his wife of 60 years Violet (Hunnakko); Children: Norman (Susan), Lorna (Gerald), Brian, Edward (Erika), Holly, Harold (Colleen); 13 grandchildren: Lee (Jessica), Shayne, Catherine (Roger), Kim (Todd), Alison (Dana), Kirsten (Braden), Blair, Justin, Jasmine, Kyler, Leah, Ted and Heather; and 7 great grandchildren: Aubree-Lynn, Preston, Isabella, Braden, Zachary, Kyra and Taelynn.</p> <p> Ted lived all of his life in the community of Nolalu. Ted was an entrepreneur at heart and operated several businesses, most notably Maki&rsquo;s Trucking and Cedar Sites Resort.</p> <p> Ted will be remembered for the contributions he made to the community both as an active member and an employer. Ted had a great appreciation for life in the country; he had a welcoming social spirit; he loved to listen to and play the accordion and in their day both he and Violet were known to steal the dance floor at the Nolalu dances.</p> <p> A celebration of life will be held on Friday, Dec. 20, 2013 at the Kakabeka Legion at 1 p.m.</p> <p> In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Nolalu Emergency Service Team (N.E.S.T) or the TBRHSC.</p> <p> Interment will take place at a later date at the Nolalu Cemetery.</p>
