Teresa Marsico, age 77 years, passed away on Sunday, August 27, 2017 at the Thunder Bay Regional Hospital from health complications.

She was born in Altilia, Grimaldi, Cosenza, Italy on March 17, 1940.  On January 19, 1973 she immigrated to Canada along with her four children to be reunited with her husband in Thunder Bay.

Teresa was a beautiful, kind, caring and generous woman with a selfless nature.  Her family and friend’s welfare would always take precedence over her own.  She devoted her heart and soul to her children who brought her the utmost pleasure.  She cherished the relationships she had with family, but most especially with her grandchildren.

Her days were spent in the garden with her husband, canning, and maintaining an immaculate home.  Teresa’s passion was preparing meals for her family; she would not sit to eat unless her children had eaten first.

Teresa was the dearest most loving mother that ever graced this earth.  Her unwavering love was and will always be abundant for her four bambini.

Teresa will be greatly missed by her husband Giovanni Marsico; children:  Rosaria (Tony) Turco,  Pasquale (Grace) Marsico, Silvana Marsico, Marcellina Asmundson (nee Marsico);  grandchildren: Michele (Francesca) Turco,  Rosalina (Ivan) Sergi, Nicole and Megan Marsico, Dylan, Brandon and Kyle Asmundson; sisters:  Elena, Giuseppina, and Rosetta Russo;  brothers:  Vittorio (Maria), and Michele (Rosaria);  sisters-in-law:  Sarafina, Iolanda, Ida, Antonietta, Maria Marsico and Federrica Malfatto; brothers-in-law;  Nello (Ida) Marsico, Amerigo (Lisa) Marsico, Carmelo (Fortunata) Marsico and many nieces and nephews, and other extended family and friends.

She was predeceased by her parents Giovanni Russo and Ortensia Vecchio; brothers:  Amedeo, Pino and Franco Russo.  Parents-in-law Pasquale and Rosaria Guercio (Marsico); brothers-in-law:  Ernesto, Antonio and Alberto Marsico, and Giuseppe Barone; sister-in-law Elena (Giovanni) Coltellaro and many other extended family in Italy and Thunder Bay.
