It is with great sadness and sorrow that we announce the passing of Terry Brooks, on Thursday, September 17th, 2015 in St. Joseph’s Hospital with his family by his side.

Terry was born on Christmas Day in 1953 in Port Arthur, Ontario.  During his youth he enjoyed the great outdoors.  He spent 31 years as a lineman for Thunder Bay Hydro retiring in 2003.  While Terry was employed at Thunder Bay Hydro he was actively involved in the IBEW union.  He also worked for Hydro 1 Remotes for a short period.

Terry enjoyed riding his motorcycle with friends and camping trips with his family in their RV the “Chitty- Chitty Bang- Bang”, he was especially proud of his boat “The Titantic” where he enjoyed taking his friends for a cruise.

Terry was also involved in and enjoyed scouting, bowling and curling.

Terry will be lovingly remembered by his wife Linda of 41 years, brothers Bill Brooks, Fred (Patti) Brooks, sisters Christine (Rick) Nyszczuk from Alberta, Carol Brooks, and brother-in-law David (Kathy) Patreau; also by several nieces and nephews. Terry was predeceased by his son Daniel Brooks in 2014, parents Edward and Margaret Brooks and sister Heather Brooks.

Funeral Services for the late Terry Brooks will be held on Friday, September 25, 2015, at 1:30 p.m. in the chapel of the Harbourview Funeral Centre, 499 Cumberland St. N, with services led by Rev. Chris Harper. Visitation will begin one hour prior to service time. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made to TBRHSC Northern Cancer Fund or a charity of your choice.

The Brooks family would like to extend a special thanks to the nurses and doctors at TBRSHC – ICU and St Joseph Hospice.
