Thomas Keesic (Nayanookeesic)

Mr. Thomas Keesic (Nayanookeesic), age 42, passed away on Saturday, March 19, 2022.

Thomas was born in Geraldton, Ontario on January 13, 1980. He resided in Jellicoe in his younger days, moving to Thunder Bay in 1988. Tom was educated at Gorham Ware School, Hillcrest High School and Confederation College. Tom loved the outdoors and nature. He enjoyed going to our camp north of Auden and fishing in Juneau Lake. It brought Tom joy to spend time with his two children Kain and Breanna at the camp.  He loved to play with them and teach them how to ride a bike or drive a snow machine, or ATV. Tom had many skills including his hobby of blade smithing. He took interest in collecting rocks and learning more about history. Tom had a kind heart, and was always willing to help others in need. 
Tom will be deeply missed by his children Kain, Breanna and wife Valerie; parents George and Tuulikki Nayanookeesic; brother Marvin (Terra), niece Ayla and nephew Jack;  sister Wendy, niece Jasmine and her son Elliot.

He was predeceased by both sets of grandparents, and uncles & aunts, Harry, Henry, Gary, Jim, Elizabeth and Anita.

A Funeral Cremation Mass will be held on Thursday March 31, 2022 at 10:00am in St. Andrew's Roman Catholic Church, celebrated by Father Antoni Fujarczuk. Arrangements have been entrusted to EVEREST FUNERAL CHAPEL, 299 Waverley Street at Algoma.

COVID-19 Protective measures are still being applied in group settings. Capacity is limited, masks or face coverings are required and maintaining social distancing of 6 feet is mandatory for those attending the service.
