It is with great sadness that the family of Thomas Peter Carlson, age 74 years, announce his peaceful passing in Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre on Tuesday, April 5, 2022.
Tom was born in Geraldton, Ontario on May 22, 1947. For many years he worked as a logging truck and pulp truck driver. Tom was devoted to his family and also volunteered his time to Boy Scouts of Canada (Grey Brigade), Elks Lodge # 82, Elks clown band, and most recently, Army, Navy and Airforce Veterans Club.
Tom is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Margaret Rose Carlson; daughters Jennifer (Darcy) Allard and Carolyn Carlson (Jamie Varga); and grandchildren Hayden Allard, Elizabeth, Eleanor and Samantha Varga.
He was predeceased by his parents Peter and Elvira Carlson; and sister Margaret Leger.
Tom was a wonderful man, who was always there to lend a helping hand to his family and friends.
As per Tom's wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to EVEREST FUNERAL CHAPEL, 299 Waverley Street at Algoma.
