It is with heavy heart that we announce the passing of a legendary man with an infectious laugh who literally moved mountains; known to us as dad but known to others as Tim.

The only time we were allowed to swear growing up was when someone would ask what our dad did for work and we got to brag and say "He blows sh*t up!!" Some of the fondest memories we have are fishing on Kenogamisis Lake at our family camp and our dad getting eaten by mosquitoes cleaning all the fish ... He never left a bone.

It all started with a man on a bar stool telling the guys that one day he was going to marry her. When he saw mom he knew that moment that he met his soulmate; and he would do anything to win her heart. Dad was never a really good planner... but when he saw someone looking just a little too closely at mom, he asked his soon to be son Billy if he could marry his mom, grabbed a piece of copper wire, made a ring on the fly and put a ring on it. 30 years later; mom and dad still held hands in bed while they slept being our resident sea otters and he would still refer to her as His Bride.

Our dad was known for many of his ridiculous catch phrases like; "The hydro is hotter in the country" "I love it when a plan comes together" "I'll just sign my name" "Dryer then a popcorn fart" and the one that drove all of us kids nuts and it took months for mom and dad to quit saying ... "Don-kay!" (Thanks Shrek)

Dad had an amazing set of arms that when he hugged you you felt safe and knew everything was going to be okay.

Growing up, when dad was home and mom was working at the bank, us kids knew all too well that supper was going to be something "Cowboy" and every meal had to be hearty.

No expense was ever spared when it came to us kids, Dad would tell mom... Fill up those Bank cards, kids need more money. We never wanted for anything; dad worked hard to make sure we had a great life. He was in every sense of the word... a Real Man... who took pride in his children.

Dad was survived by his wife Tami; children Bill, Becky, Chelsea and Dray; grandchildren Quinn, Zane, Kendall, Eli and Tommy; Brother Rob(Lori); Aunt Shirlee(Pat), Uncle Bob(Ann), Uncle El numerous other aunties, uncles, cousins and countless friends.

Although dad's gone, he's gone to meet his dad and mom Ken and Barb Siver, his brother Tommy Siver, Auntie Bev... and Bouper (Blue - our family dog).

We will be starting a foundation in dad's name to provide lunches for children in Thunder Bay who don't get one.

A celebration of life will be held this Saturday August 26 from 2 to 4 pm at the Westfort Prosvita; 721 West Gore Street. Bring your appetite ... mom's cooking.
