It is with heavy hearts and great sorrow that, the family of Timoleon Karoutas, announce his passing on Tuesday, May 5th, 2015 in the TBRHSC.
Timo was born in 1945 in Pentalofos, Greece. He married in 1969 to Faye Lotsios, the same year they started their life together in Thunder Bay. Timo had worked for CP Rail B&B Shop for over 35 years until his retirement in 2005.
Timo was a gentle, kind hearted, loving man who would do anything for anyone. Timo’s true love was his family, most of all; his wife, his children and his beautiful grandchildren. Timo also loved his coffee time at Tim Horton’s, McDonald’s Kappa Java along with all of his friends at Naxos.
Timo is survived by his beloved wife Faye, his daughters Stasha Karoutas Watty (Ryan), Maria Karoutas, hi son Billy Karoutas (Fiancé Jackie), his grandchildren Timmy, Larissa, Elene, his brother Stergio, his sisters Kaliroid and Kasiano, his brothers-in-law Jack (Effie), Chris (Christine) as well as by numerous nieces and nephews in Canada and Greece.
Timo was predeceased by his brother, his two sisters and his in-laws in Greece.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, May 8th, 2015 leaving the Harbourview Funeral Centre at 10:30 AM to the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 651 Beverly Street, for the Funeral Service at 11:00 AM to be celebrated by Fr. Nikolaos Tambakis.
Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday evening (TODAY) from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM in the Chapel of Harbourview Funeral Centre, 499 North Cumberland Street, with a Prayer Service beginning at 7:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, the Kidney Foundation or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
