It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. Todd Tyler Hogan.

He bravely fought a year-long battle with cancer, that he lost on June 13, 2015, at only 41 years young. Todd was born May 24, 1974, in Thunder Bay, Ontario.

He had a contagious smile that could instantly brighten anyone’s day. He kept his sense of humour and his smile until the end. His heart was pure, and you could always count on him to be there for his friends and family. He always told it like it was, not one to sugar coat things, a quality that was admirable.

He has left a mark on so many, and touched the lives of everyone he knew. His gentle spirit will forever live on in our hearts.

He will be dearly missed and forever remembered. He took great pleasures in the simple things in life. He loved both hockey and baseball, which he played during his youth. He enjoyed fishing, playing cards on Saturday nights at dad’s house and enjoying the company of family and friends over a cup of coffee. He was predeceased by his mother, Elaine Hogan (McKenzie) in 2008 and his grandfather, PJ Hogan in 2010.

He is survived by his father, James Hogan, son Tyler, sister Jody Hogan, brother Mike Nixon, grandmother Irene, Uncles Gary, Clarence, Louie, Leo (Mary-Ann) Ken and Randy, Aunts Cathy, Kim, Suzie and Patty (Steve), Nieces, Kazlyn, Kyla, Karlee and Ember, Great Nephews Dylan, Dominic, Damian and Kale, as well as numerous cousins and friends who will forever cherish the memories they’ve shared.

As per his wishes there will be no funeral. We invite you to join us to celebrate Todd’s life on June 27, 2015 at 3:00 pm at the Royal Canadian Polish Legion, located at 730 Simpson Street. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
