As we grieve the loss of an amazing wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend, we valued and enjoyed the life that she lived. It is with the deepest sadness that we announce the passing of Valorie Loretta Bobrowski-Donaldson, age 45 years, following a courageous year and a half battle with a cancerous brain tumour. As per Valorie‘s wishes, she passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family and devoted husband. Valorie was born February 8th, 1965 in Fort William and as a teenager attended Selkirk High School. It was during her time at Selkirk that she was first introduced to her future husband David Donaldson. A few years later they had their first child; Tabitha and almost four years later they had their second; Shannon.

Valorie loved her family! She was so proud to be a mother and took great pride in raising and being involved in everything her children took an interest in. She lived to "rock and roll" and when she could find the time, loved to go out dancing with her sisters, brothers and friends. Valorie also dearly cherished her evenings at home alone with her wonderful husband. They would watch scary movies or she would watch David play a scary video game. She also enjoyed reading her scary books, Stephen King was always her favourite. She was a truly unique and inspiring individual with an infectious smile, making new friends and acquaintances everywhere she went. People loved to be around her as she was always positive, had a great sense of humour and wit with an uncanny ability to see the good in things.

Valorie will be missed deeply by her husband, David and their daughters: Tabitha and Shannon; her mother Luba Bobrowski and in-laws Victor and Joan Donaldson, siblings: Antonia, Mary (Bob), Linda (David), Gregory, Vera (Larry), Walter, Sonya (Chris), Teddy (Denise), Gloria (Salem), Yvonne (Bill), Valentina (Wayne) and Peter (Shawn); as well as numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by her father John, brothers: Christopher in infancy, Michael and brother in-law John Vogt.

Following cremation, Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday March 12th 2010 in the Chapel of Harbourview Funeral Center, 499 N. Cumberland Street. Visitation for family and friends will be held one hour prior to the service. At this time the family would also like to express our sincere thanks to everyone who helped play a part in making sure Valorie could be at home. An extra special thank you goes out to Mrs. Meta Evans for everything she has done and continues to do.
